Trauma Based Therapy

trauma may result from a single incident (e.g. natural disaster) or from prolonged exposure to neglectful or overwhelming stress that can result in post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Untreated PTSD can result in impulse control issues, disturbed thought patterns, nightmares, and may perpetuate a cycle of trauma. Therapeutic interventions are individualized based on the nature and symptoms of the trauma.
